Greetings!

I thought you might be interested in a recent article about the Yale Young Global Scholars Program(YYGS), an academic enrichment and leadership training program for talented high school students from around the world, who live and study on the Yale campus during the summer. This is a wonderful opportunity for high school student leaders to experience what Yale has to offer.

Given your role with the Yale Club, we hope you’ll share the information about our program with your network of Yale alumni, particularly those in the educator sector. Below, I am providing the link to the YYGS article and some short talking points.

I would also like to bring your attention to the Yale Young African Scholars Program (YYAS), an initiative modeled off of the Yale Young Global Scholars Program, which was launched this past summer in Ghana and Ethiopia (read the recap article). YYAS is a high-intensity, tuition-free residential program designed for African students attending secondary school on the continent. In summer 2015, the sessions will be held in two new host countries. For information and eligibility requirements, visithttp://globalscholars.yale.edu/africa. Please feel free to share this information with your constituencies in Africa.

Thank you in advance for passing along this information and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (203) 436-5976.

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season,

Amy
