Our fellow members of International Alliance of Research Universities, National University of Singapore (NUS) Alumni London Chapter warmly invite YCL members to the third in their series “Engendering Equality”.
The third instalment of the Professional Forum Series turns the spotlight on gender equality in the workplace. Is gender equality reality or a pipe dream? How does being in the racial or sexual minority add to the struggle of being a woman in a patriarchal landscape? What do the men think? And how does the Singapore experience compare with the UK’s? Join us for an interactive evening as we explore these questions and more with a panel of four female trailblazers in various male-dominated professions, each with a different tale to tell.
Panel:
Moderator: Prof Andrew Dick, Director UCL-Institute of Ophthalmology, Duke Elder Professor of Ophthalmology, UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, Professor of Ophthalmology, University of Bristol.
Speaker: Ms Foo Chi Hsia, Singapore’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ambassador to Ireland and Iceland.
Speaker: Ms Sharon Heng, Chair of NUS Alumni London Chapter, Ophthalmologist, CEO of Angel Babybox Singapore, COO CH Associates Singapore and Non-exec Chair, HT heritage UK
