Under the Sea! Submarine Spring Break for Alumni

Roatan Submarine Expedition
Escape the cold. Explore the deep.

Next March, stay clear of grey skies and travel with your friends to the blue waters and white sands of Roatan, an island perched right on the edge of the 25,000-foot-deep Cayman Trench and one of the world’s top dive destinations.

Ever wondered what the world looks like from the viewport of a submarine?

Now you can tell your friends. Aboard the submarine Idabel, explore the Cayman Trench down to 1,000 feet, or extend to 2,000 feet for a look at rare deep sea corals. These are depths primarily known by top government researchers (and the occasional millionaire).

Enjoy a private cabana, you jet-setter.

At the Tranquilseas Eco-Lodge, exotic flora and fauna thrive just steps away from a private beach and coral reef. Get PADI-certified at the on-site dive resort or use your existing certification and take the plunge! The Eco-Lodge also offers zip-lining, mangrove kayaking, bird watching, nature preserve hiking, and daily yoga. Relax and enjoy.

Put your experience in context.

You’ll be joined by the husband and wife team of Gaboury Benoit, the Grinstein Professor of Environmental Chemistry at Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and Lisa Suatoni, a senior scientist in the oceans program at NRDC and a lecturer at the Yale Law School.

Small-Group Discounts Available. Limited Space.

From March 19 to 26, 2016, join your classmates in a moderately priced Yale adventure designed for the adventurous traveler. All meals save for one lunch and dinner are included. Program is limited to 18 travelers – travel with your friends and save!
