Kerry Conversation with Thomas Friedman

Thomas Friedman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author, will join former Secretary of State John Kerry for a conversation about the state of democracy at home and abroad. Secretary Kerry will also discuss his new book, “Every Day is Extra,” and sign copies after the talk.

In the memoir, Kerry tells the story of his remarkable American life—as a Navy lieutenant in  combat in Vietnam, prosecutor battling the mob, lieutenant governor, Democratic nominee for president of the United States, five-term senator, and U.S. Secretary of State.

The talk, which is free and open to the general public, is sponsored by the Kerry Initiative at Yale University, an interdisciplinary program that tackles pressing global challenges through teaching, research, and international dialogue.
