Five Easy Pieces

Bob Rosenkranz, was the instigator of the IntelligenceSquared U.S. debates, which brings noted experts in the field to the table to discuss a timely topic.

This year my Class Council decided to make these debates available on-line, in either real time or from a later download.

“The Five Easy Pieces”for the past ‘semester’ are:

BRIEFINGS ON

The US role in the Middle East

Mass surveillance of phone records

Income inequality

Legalized assisted suicide

Genetically modified food

And for each of these debates, one or more of my classmates, expert in that field, would do for us a preview of the coming topic. Of course, after the debates there was opportunity for Comments, and those are viewable as well.  Previews, comments, and the debates are outstanding, and I know would be of interest when you might have some free time, either over the holidays or later.

This tab will take you to the previews, and also provide direction should you wish to view the debates or comments.  Happy Holidays!
