Join movie enthusiasts from our global alumni community to discuss and exchange views on films from around the world. And share your favorite film from your own country to view for discussion at a future meeting.
On September 23, 2023, we are discussing “Roma” by Alfonso Cuaron (Mexico, 2018). This film is based on Cuaron’s personal remembrance of growing up in Mexico City’s Roma neighborhood, and the special bond with the family’s maid who nurtured and supported them through a mutual period of personal and cultural unrest.
Prior to our discussion, participants will watch the movie on streaming platforms available in their regions. Online options may include Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Prime Video, etc.
