Professor Dhar is the director of the Center for Customer Insights at the Yale School of Management as well as a professor of psychology at Yale University. He is one of the top experts in consumer behaviour and branding, well renown for his ability to bring psychological insights to the study of consumer decision-making.
In contrast to spending hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising to entreat people to buy their products, this talk will rely on principles of behavioural economics to discuss the structure of the shopping environment and design of marketplace interventions in ways that maximize consumer response. In this talk, Ravi will discuss Yale’s framework built on recent advances in behavioural economics to understand how consumers make choices and apply these theories inside the store. The talk will also discuss how shopper marketing should consider consumer trip goals and choice drivers to impact purchase.
The Yale Club of London and School of Management welcome members of the London Clubs of LSE, HEC, Insead, and alumni of all schools who are members of the Global Network for Advanced Management.
